Everen - 2024 Viognier

Backstory:

In 2023, we introduced a fresh, vibrant Viognier that quickly became a guest favorite. For 2024, we took everything you loved and doubled down. Same fruit-forward energy, now with more lift and complexity. Grown on the upper blocks of Olsen Vineyard (right next to our Chardonnay), this Viognier shows just how expressive the variety can be when handled with restraint. No heavy oak or excess weight. 

Tasting Notes:

On the Nose: Floral and perfumed right away. Jasmine and honeysuckle lead, followed by apricot, orange blossom, and a soft touch of honey. This years’ aromatics feel more layered with a little extra intrigue as the glass warms up.

On the Palate: Bright, clean, and lifted. This is where we talk about verve, or tension, and it’s something we absolutely love about this wine. The warmer vintage shows through with ripe tangerine, white peach, and a hint of lemon zest, all carried by lively acidity that keeps everything focused and energetic. It’s expressive without being heavy and finishes dry and refreshing.

Finish & Overall Impression: Floral, fruity, and dry, this is a versatile wine for curious hosts. The finish is long, clean, and quietly complex, with a bright pop of acidity that cuts through the textured mid-palate and pulls everything together in a crisp, mineral driven close. It’s balanced, vibrant, and incredibly easy to come back to, whether there’s food on the table or you’re simply opening another bottle with friends.
